I will try to get an interview with the girls about their experience there. Do let me know in the comments all you would like to know about the program and the girls visit!!
On Another note, our online yard sale from the previous post is almost done. We raised over 250$ which will be matched and doubled and donated to Animal Aid.
I had put Old Dog Haven in the random drawing for $1000 donation by pedigree on TwoLittleCavaliers and we got picked!!! Old Dog Haven will get the donation from pedigree!
Did you all know that networking on Facebook is saving so many pets lives!!
I stumbled upon all these volunteers and non affiliated rescues on Facebook, who take pictures of the dogs in shelters on euthanization list(esp the crazy kill shelters in NYC and LA), share those pictures far and wide, find adopters or fosters, transporters and pullers work with each other to take the dogs and cats our of the shelters and transport them to rescues or foster homes! and a lot more. Please do join the local rescue facebook pages, or volunteer pages!
Here are a few examples
And there are 100s more.
Things I would love to do this year
- Fund raising in creative ways!
- Spread the message about Veganism, because I cannot be a speciesist anymore, I cannot pet and love an animal(dogs) and eat some others!. Here's my vegan food blog where I put up yummylicious, creative as welll as day-today food options and recipes.
- Help connect people who want pets with the available pets all over the country!
Blog for the Change! And Make it Happen!
Have a fun Day everyone! Thanks for dropping by.
