Chewie is visiting Utah today. This pretty boy is Casper . His profile here . Casper is a Sheep Dog mix and about 5 years old. Casper is deaf and eventually will be blind. He will need someone patient and willing to work well with his needs. Casper seems pretty well behaved and just loves the zest of life. He enjoys walks and is a very happy kind of guy. Casper is great with other dogs and seems to play well with others. Casper is a total love bug and just wants the companionship of a human!
UAAF believes that every animal deserves a home regardless of age or disability. We specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation of 'special needs' animals including orphaned newborns, senior animals, animals with behavioral issues, injured animals, and animals with ongoing health problems. Since our founding in September 2002, we have successfully placed hundreds of these deserving animals into loving homes.

Grateful Dogs Rescue, a non-profit organization, was founded 20 years ago by Michelle Parris, a former SF Animal Care & Control volunteer. She made it her mission to rescue "un-adoptable dogs," i.e. dogs not made available for adoption because they needed some medical help or some behavioral training. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these special-needs dogs until a loving home is found. To learn more about Grateful Dogs Rescue, please visit website at www.gratefuldogsrescue.org
Check out all the adoptable dogs at http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal_type=Dog&shelter_id=CA792 .To read about the rescue's adoption process please seehttp://gratefuldogsrescue.org/AdoptionProcess
This a Dogtipper.com Meet And Greet Blog Hop.
Chewie and me are trying to connect families and adoptable pets using the blog and making the whole adoption process easier with tips and training info. We also write about rescues and about local adoptable dogs, happy endings and chewie and the fosters training and antics.
